Keynote: Intel’s Frank Soqui

The Esports Business Summit wrapped its keynote series with one from Intel. Frank Soqui, VP of the gaming division for Intel, gave a brief history of esports over the last 20 years and then spoke of three trends shaping the future of the business: immersive experiences, transforming business models, and viewing experiences. Socqui looked at the current foundation of esports, noting that with a gaming population of 2.3 billion, the opportunity in esports is ever-growing. And with new technologies such as edge computing, artificial intelligence, and upcoming 5G, Soqui predicted a continuing boom for years to come.
